Matt started playing guitar at age 10 upon seeing Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher." From that point, after taking lessons from several prestigious local guitar teachers, including the award-winning Jim Pagel, he began to develop his own style which was made up of mostly rock and blues. He played with various bands including an R&B band, The New Groove, and the classic rock band Vengeance. Matt's passion for music continues through Eventide and enjoys entertaining crowds all over Michigan.
