Rich hails from Swartz Creek , Michigan where he was raised by a drummer dad and an organ playing mother. His parent’s musical influence, combined with his nervous energy that needed an outlet, were significant reasons for Rich beginning to keep the beat at a young age. Rich’s drumming career started in church at the age of 14. Since then, he has been playing with various jazz and cover bands. Rich also is a certified public accountant and is one of the few people in the industry to list Tommy Lee and Buddy Rich as his main influences. His dependable drumming, easygoing attitude and professionalism all make Eventide a better band.
